First Edition. Scarce satirical offering with Rowlandson's inimitable illustrations, instigated, apparently, by James Beresford's "Miseries of human life; or, The groans of Samuel Sensitive and Timothy Testy", 1806. Lot Amendments Condition: Spine scuffed and pock-marked, ends and edges worn, joints cracked; light staining and foxing to added title-page and frontispiece, bookseller's catalogue entry affixed to top of "Deprecatory Advertisment" leaf following title-page, else very good, with the bookplate of Winifred Perry.
