Lindsell Date: 1808 Description: 24 pp. Frontispiece and 4 plates. 12x10.5 cm (4¾x4") original printed wrappers. Custom folding case. Second Edition. A spinoff of Catherine Ann Turner Dorset's The Peacock "At Home" and William Roscoe's The Butterfly's Ball and the Grasshopper's Feast. OCLC locates only one copy (Indiana University) of this second edition, that copy with 6 plates, identical to the first edition of the same year. The present copy has only 5 plates, with no indication of a sixth plate having ever been present. Lot Amendments Condition: Light wear, a few small chips to wrappers; perhaps lacking one plate; light foxing; very good. Item number: 253634
