Hand-coloured lithographed frontispiece and 5 plates, coloured illustrations, text within wood-engraved border throughout printed in red or blue, one-page publisher's advertisement at the end. (Text leaves very lightly browned). Original green cloth decorated in gilt and blind, g.e. [GIRAUD, Jane Elizabeth] The Flowers of Shakspeare, [London:] Day & Haghe, [1845]. 4° (306 x 234mm.). Hand-coloured lithographed title and 29 plates by Jane Elizabeth Giraud. (A few light spots). 19th-century green half calf gilt by Bayntun Riviere. (Joints split, extremities rubbed). PRESENTATION COPY. Loosely-inserted is a typed slip reading, "To Hubert Giraud Esq. M.D. of the Hon E.I.C.S., Bombay, this garland from his motherland is dedicated by his sister. Farnham. Feb 18th, 1845." (2)
