Three: Chaplain to the Forces the Reverend O. L. Hamer, Army Chaplains’ Department British War and Victory Medals (Rev. O. L. Hamer.); General Service 1918-62, 1 clasp, Iraq (Rev. O. L. Hamer.) mounted as originally worn, generally very fine or better (3) £260-£300 Three: Chaplain to the Forces the Reverend O. L. Hamer, Army Chaplains’ Department British War and Victory Medals (Rev. O. L. Hamer.); General Service 1918-62, 1 clasp, Iraq (Rev. O. L. Hamer.) mounted as originally worn, generally very fine or better (3) £260-£300 Owen Lechmere Hamer was born in 1888, and served during the Great War with the Army Chaplains’ Department in the Mesopotamian theatre of war from 12 June 1917. He died in February 1951, and is buried in the St. Mary Churchyard, Thornton Watlass, North Yorkshire.
