Tiffany Favrile Iridescent Glass Vase

Belle Epoque
7 Jun 2006
Estimate
US$5,000 - US$7,000
Price realised:
US$6,000
Beschreibung:

Tiffany Favrile Iridescent Glass Vase Of squat globular form, in amber glass, decorated with contrasting dark green and bright gold coiled motifs, with pink, gold and purple highlights, signed L.C.T. Height 7 1/4 inches, diameter 12 inches.
There do not appear to be any hairline cracks or chips to the body or upper rim of the vase. There is water staining to the interior. There are two burst surface bubbles to the exterior of the body that feel slightly sharp to the touch; perhaps another two smaller pinhead size open bubbles, detectable by touch. There are additional internal bubbles in the making, some of which can be felt, by touch, as bumps. There are two very flat and smooth open bubbles on the exterior body. Some evidence of tool marks, again, in the making, as well as some light surface scratching throughout. Nice metallic sheen and color highlights. No numerals or registry marks on the underside, just L.C.T.
