Contemporary maroon cloth, gilt-lettered spine. 8 1/4 x 5 1/4 inches; [98] pp. (various paginations); sectional titles. Generally a bit rubbed, extremities bumped, one or two pale stains to covers, slightly overopened with old glue residue, one sectional title repaired, occasional toning and foxing, contemporary marginalia. A collection of short shikar narratives, all written by "W. B. M." and bound together. Titles include: "Man-Eating Tigress Climbing a Tree After Her Victim"; "The Salsette Man-eater falsely accused of a Murder"; "The Death of a Man-Eating Tiger"; "Mauled by a Panther"; "Ten days after the Baroda, Bansda, and Dang Man-eating Family of Tigers - May 1885"; "Easter Week after a Man-Eating Tiger in Dhurrumpore State, with J.
