Translated from the original published by command of his Majesty the King of Denmark and enlarged with observations from ancient and modern authors, that have written on the antiquities of Egypt, by Dr. Peter Templeman. 2 vols. London: Lockyer Davis and Charles Reymers 1757. Folio. Complete. [8] + XXXIV + 124; [4] + VIII + 156 pp. Half-titles. Engraved initials, head- and tailpieces. Engraved allegorical frontispiece in vol. I, engraved portrait of the author in vol. II, 157 engraved plates, maps and plans (numb. I-CLIX, with plates CXL/CXLI and CXLII/CXLIII on two sheets, 5 folding). Some plates browned. Plate no. XX with tear. Bound in 19th century full calf, boards with marks and corners with wear. Front hinges loose on both vols., head- and tailbands repaired, worn. (2) Brunet IV, 101. Graesse IV.
