TWO MEISSEN FIGURES OF BEGGAR MUSICIANS CIRCA 1740, BLUE CROSSED SWORDS MARKS, PRESSNUMMER 33 TO FEMALE MUSICIAN Both wearing ragged clothes, the man in a brown hat, yellow jacket and red breeches, a satchel slung over his shoulder, playing the hurdy-gurdy and seated on a pile of rocks, the woman wearing a black and white headcloth, a brown jacket and white skirt, a flask resting on her pale-yellow apron, holding bagpipes and seated on a rock (his head and hat broken through and restored, instrument with restoration and very slight chipping, base with cracks, slight chipping and chip on right side, woman with restoration to instrument and two fingers, right foot a replacement, chip to hem of jacket on reverse, slight wear to enamels) 4 7/8 in.
