Two movements: a) Dent. An interesting keyless split second stop watch movement with Prest's winding system (illustrated), b) Smith. A keyless minute repeating chronograph movement awarded a Kew Certificate a) signed Dent, 33 Cockspur Street, London, Patent No. 27075, circa 1870s, b) signed S. Smiths & Son, 9 Strand, London, No. 34757, circa 1900 a) the frosted gilt three quarter plate movement with Prest's winding system, engraved cock, bimetallic balance and blued flat hairspring, lever escapement, the eccentric white enamel dial with Roman numerals, Arabic five minute divisions, blued steel hands, two sweep centre seconds hands, one stopped by depressing a button in the band and b) the frosted gilt keyless movement jewelled to the third with screwed chatons, inscribed 'Certificated at Kew,' the bimetallic balance with ruby endstone, blued steel hairspring and English lever escapement, repeating hours, quarters and minutes by operating a slide in the band, the white enamel dial with Roman numerals, subsidiary seconds, outer pulsations ring 0 - 300, with blued steel hands and sweep centre seconds operated by a single button in the band, dial and movement signed a) 44 mm., b) dial plate 44 mm.
