TWO SILESIAN WINE GLASSES Mid-18th century The first moulded with a shell, the panels engraved with a chinoiserie landscape, star pattern and foliate scrolls, the crest of an eagel's leg with talons within a circular medallion surmounted by a helmet issuing peacock feathers and a similar leg and plumes, reserved within a baldochino foliate scrolled and elaborate strapwork, the rim and footrim engraved with zigzag and dots, 6 1/8in. (15.6cm) high; the second, engraved with a chinoiserie landscape, the far side with the script initials AJK within rocaille foliate scrolls and diaper pattern, 4 1/8in. (10.4cm.) high; together with a German armorial flute, late 18th century, the bowl engraved with the crest of a goat issuing from a crown above a bull within a shield, the surround as a military trophy of swords, spears, flags, cannon and drum on faceted stem and circular foot, 7¾in.
