TWO WHITE JADE PENDANT PLAQUES QING DYNASTY (1644-1911) The larger, of pale greenish-white color, is carved in low relief on one side with 'antiques' and on the reverse with an inscription, pan tao yi shou sui san qian ('the Peaches of Immortality ripen after three thousand years') followed by two seals, wen and wan ('play things'). The smaller is carved on one side with two seated boys swatting at insects, and on the reverse with an inscription, jun zi pei zhi da ji xiang, yi er zi sun yong shou chang ('the man of complete virtue wears it [the pendant] for great auspiciousness, his descendent will be benefited with longevity and prosperity'). The stone of each is semi-translucent. 2 3/16 and 1.15/16 in. (5.5 and 5 cm.) high
