First edition relating the travel in 1874 of Baron of Tefé (1837-1931) and his companions on the Javary River at the end of which they set the boundary marker between Peru and Brazil. Tefé was the only survivor of the expedition. Extracted from the Brazilian explorer's journal. Enriched with an orig. photo of Tefé protected with a tissue guard. Prov.
