Elegant Didot's edition of the works of the French pedagogue lived between the middle of the seventeenth century and the beginning of the 18th century. The most famous work to which his fame is linked is surely the educational novel of adventure and travel "Les Aventures de Télémaque, fils d'Ulysse". In this novel, pseudo-historical and utopian, he leads the young Telemachus, Ulysses' son, along with the preceptor, through various countries of antiquity, who often, because of the bad counselors of the rulers, had problems similar to those crossing the France of those years, problems that could be solved, Fénelon says in the novel, thanks to peaceful coexistence with neighboring countries, economic reforms, agricultural development and the end of the production of luxury goods. Other writings of great interest included pedagogical topics, as well as funny and instructive works for his tutor, Duke of Burgundy, grandson of King Louis and his heir to the throne.Pregevole edizione del Didot delle opere del pedagogo francese vissuto tra la metà del XVII secolo e l’inizio del XVIII. In questo romanzo, pseudo-storico e utopistico, egli conduce il giovane Telemaco, figlio di Ulisse, insieme con il precettore, attraverso diversi paesi dell'antichità che spesso, a causa dei cattivi consiglieri dei governanti, ebbero problemi simili a quelli che attraversavano la Francia di quegli anni, problemi che tuttavia si potrebbero risolvere, così sostiene Fénelon nel romanzo, grazie a una pacifica convivenza con i paesi confinanti, a riforme economiche, allo sviluppo dell'agricoltura e alla fine della produzione degli articoli di lusso. Altre suoi scritti di rilevante interesse riguardavano temi pedagogici, oltre ad opere divertenti ed istruttive per il suo precettore, il duca di Borgogna, nipote di re Luigi e suo erede al trono.
