Beautiful and rare utopian work of this social satire describing the experiences of a Parisian who, after sleeping for 670 years, wakes up and finds that all the ideals of the Enlightenment have been realized in the meantime. The work, in many bitterly prophetic aspects, was widely publicized, with various counterfeits and almost as many parody, often not less fanciful than the original parody.
