VARIOUS ARTISTS OF THE MING DYNASTY (15TH-16TH CENTURY) CALLIGRAPHY, FLOWERS A set of eight fan leaves, ink on gold paper Various sizes Artists include Zhang Ling (15th-16th century), Wen Peng 91498-1573), Wang Zhideng (1535-1612), Chen Jiru (1558-1639), two leaves, Bai Yue (16th century), Zhang Jingyuan (16th-17th century), and Zigao Each leaf signed by the respective artist, and with one to two seals Eight collectors' seals, including three of Kong Guangtao (19th century) Notes: 1. For brief biography of Bai Yue, see Zhongguo Meishujia Renming Cidian, Shanghai Renmin Meishu Chubanshe, 1981, p.174 2. Zhang Jingyuan, a native of Taihing, passed the official examinations in the thirty-second year of the Wanli era (1604).
