Folio, 334 x 237 mm., contemporary French green morocco, covers with gilt greek key pattern borders, spine darkened, some wear at edges; scattered light foxing (mostly marginal), minor marginal browning. FIRST EDITION, half-title, 100 engraved plates by Plées, Sellier and others after P.J. Redouté (81), H.J. Redouté (8) and Maréchal. An important catalogue of newly discovered plants from the garden of Jacques Martin Cels, a leading nurseryman and a friend of Redouté. The work includes descriptions and illustrations of Australian, South Pacific and South African flora, and many plants sent by Michaux from America. Provenance : Shelfmark on title margin -- Librairie F. Savy, small label on upper pastedown -- Kenneth K. Mackenzie; Horticultural Society of New York, bookplate.
