VIKING SWORD WITH INLAID HILT Early 10th century AD An iron sword of Petersen's Type P with broad triangular blade, shallow point, two tapering fullers to each face, narrow lower guard with running zigzag of inset laten pellets, broad tang, upper guard with scooped upper edge and inlaid roundels in cross potent formation to one face. 1.2 kg, 89cm (35").
