VIVIAN, George. Views of the Gardens of Rome and Albano; drawn by George Vivian Esq and lithographed by Mr J.D. Harding. London: Thomas M'Lean, 1848. 2° (535 x 380mm). 25 tinted lithographic plates by Harding after Vivian, 6 wood-engraved vignettes by George Measom after Vivian. (Some spotting to plates, heavy in one case, and affecting the image area in five others.) Later vellum, titled in gilt on the spine, yapp edges. A fine series, printed on thick paper, after drawings made by Vivian during a residence at Rome in the years 1844, 1845, and 1846. Not in Abbey, Lowndes, or Tooley. Harry WILSON Fugitive Sketches in Rome, Venice &c. London: C.Hullmandel for P.G. Moon, 1838. 2° (545 x 360mm). Lithographic plate list, hand-coloured tinted lithographic title and 12 plates by Hullmandel after Wilson, all on thick paper. (Small repaired marginal tears to plate numbered VIII, occasional light soiling to margins.) Original crimson cloth, titled in gilt on upper cover (rebacked in green morocco, cloth faded). This lively work comprises 7 Italian views, including 3 of Rome and 2 of Venice, and 6 French views. Not in Abbey, Lowndes, or Tooley. (2)
