A complete Body of Architecture adorned with plans and elevations from original designs in which are interspersed some designs of Inigo Jones never before published , London: T. Osborne, J. Shipton and others, 1756. 2° (410 x 250mm.). Engraved frontispiece, title printed in red and black with engraved vignette of the Pantheon, 114 engraved plates, some folding. (A few plates shaved, occasional minor spotting, inkstaining and annotation, some marginal wormtracks and holes). Contemporary calf. (Joints and edges splitting, rubbed and scuffed). Provenance : Paul Panton (bookplate & signature). FIRST EDITION. Berlin Kat 2283; Fowler 436; Lowndes 2840 (1768 edition).
