WARHOL, Andy (1928-1987). The Philosophy of Andy Warhol (From A to B and Back Again) . New York: Harcourt, Brace, Jovanovich, 1975. 8° (210 x 135mm). Original red cloth-backed yellow boards, the spine lettered in black and white, the upper board with facsimile 'AW' initials in black, dustwrapper designed by Herb Lubalin, upper panel incorporating photographic portrait after Philippe Halsman (boards and spine lightly marked, corners slightly bumped, dustwrapper lightly marked and with a few short tears). Provenance : Livia Pascucci (presentation inscription on front free endpaper 'To Livia , Andy Warhol , New York 75' around a felt-tip pen drawing of a tin of Campbell's soup). FIRST US EDITION, INSCRIBED AND WITH A DRAWING BY WARHOL. This copy is a later issue of the first edition, with the issue line 'BCDE' on the verso of the title, and was inscribed to Livia Pascucci by Warhol when she acted as translator during an interview for the Italian periodical Panorama in 1975.
