[June-July 1801] par L i s Freycinet Enseigne de V a u Latitude 32°.15', Sud Longitude 112°17' Orientale', with contemporary editorial annotation in another hand 'position rapporée au Mouillage de Naturaliste, fixer p r les observations qui u ont été faite' [positions recorded are relative to the anchorage of the Naturaliste at the time], 12 x 9 5/8in. The name 'L'Ile Buache in the title was originally written 'L'Ile S tCaich' but this has been corrected to 'Buache'. This chart depicts details of part of the coast of Garden Island off the mouth of the Swan River, almost certainly the first mapping of any part of the island. The chart provided some details for the Baudin Atlas (plate 21). This is in the same hand as Lots 9 and 12.
