WIENER WERKSTATTE Three original renderings of interior designs by the Wiener Werkstatte, each with the identifying blind-stamp of the W.W. at bottom left, and "Wiener Werkstate. Kunstbl.[atte] inv[entar]. N[umbe]r." stamped on the rear. By appearance, circa 1925 or possibly earlier (the Wiener Werkstatte had closed by 1932). Each is rendered in watercolor on a heavy wove stock, with sheet sizes ranging from 10 3/4 x 15 inches (27 x 38 cm) to 12 7/8 x 15 inches (33 x 38 cm). Some surface soiling, minor creasing, a few small surface adhesions (apparently from protective tissue). Interior design renderings from the Wiener Werkstatte are extremely uncommon. The artifacts (ranging from chairs to sculptures, rugs to lamps) depicted are all Werkstatte-produced. These are exceptional examples of high Viennese Art Deco design.
