Des pièces de renfort en bois sont visibles au dos le long d'une ligne horizontale à 10 cm du bord supérieur, renforçant probablement le panneau suite à une fissure non visible. Les quatre bords sont légèrement biseautés.Le support est sain et stable.La couche picturale est dans un état également satisfaisant.Un léger degré d'usure est visible sur la surface, et plus particulièrement dans les parties sombres. Les parties claires sont bien préservées.La couche picturale est légèrement encrassée.Le vernis est sale et mat par endroits, avec la présence de chancis notamment au pied de la lanterne. A la lampe UVUn repeint apparaît le long d'une ancienne fissure restaurée, correspondant aux taquets au verso, depuis le bord droit et s'arrêtant au turban de la vieille femme.La lecture est rendue difficile par un vernis irrégulier.Une autre retouche correspondant à une petite fissure verticale est visible sur environ 3 cm en bas à gauche. D'autres retouches disséminées sont visibles, dont une plus importante au-dessus de la tête de la vieille femme, sur environ 20 cm. Other retouching appear scattered throughout the surface, especially a bigger one above the old lady's head, on circa 20 cm.
