WILLIAMSON, Thomas Henry and John Heaviside CLARK]. Foreign field Sports, Fisheries, Sporting Anecdotes... With a Supplement of New South Wales. London: J.F.Dove for Edward Orme 1814 [but 1818]. 4° (278 x 222mm). 110 hand-coloured aquatint plates after Howitt, Atkinson, Clark, Manskirch and others. (Inner margin of title torn, plate 64 Bird catching from below torn in half and repaired, some soiling throughout, lacking half-title.) Contemporary red straight-grained morocco, elaborately tooled in gilt and blind, g.e. (extremities slightly scuffed, later endpapers). Provenance : Edward Leake, Ludlow (booklabel). "The color plates in this work, especially those drawn by Howitt, are fine, both as regards draughtsmanship and coloring" (Schwerdt I, p.177); Abbey Travel I.2.
