Title: WITHDRAWN - Autograph Letter Signed by George III as Prince of Wales Author: George III, as Prince of Wales Place: Cliefden Publisher: Date: Aug. 21, 1749 Description: WITHDRAWN 12 lines, on both sides of single sheet. 23.5x17.5 cm. (9¼x7"). WITHDRAWN - Rare juvenile letter from the young Prince of Wales, later to be George III, King of Great Britain and Ireland for some fifty years. George just eleven, was still more than a decade away from attaining the throne, when he penned this letter in a careful hand: "Dear Mr. Nugent, I am very glad to hear that you are safe arrived at Gottingen and hope to receive a French or a German letter from you. I thought your remarks on the several places you pass'd through very amusing. We shall act Jane Gray this winter. I am very sorry we have not your company in this amusement. Brother Edward sends his compliments, and I am dear Regent, your most affectionate Friend, George P." Lot Amendments Condition: Silked, effecting a few repairs; very good. Item number: 224156
