Et habeo, et careo, et curo, first edition, issue with "Libles" in B4r line 1, with initial letterpress 'Embleme Explained' leaf (defective) and engraved pictorial title in facsimile, a little soiled, modern calf, roan label, [STC 23800], [by Edward Allde] for I T[rundle] & H G[osson], 1621, 8vo; sold not subject to return (2) ⁂ Withers was a poet, pamphleteer and satirist, who was imprisoned several times for libel. The first conforms to STC 25928.5 in all points except for "madd" in D8r line 8, this copy has "mad". The second item is a reply to the first.
