A WWI First World War medal pair awarded to one 24839 Private Alexander Hillier of the Royal Warwickshire Regiment. Lived in Redcliffe, Bristol. Comprising his War Medal and Victory Medal, with original ribbons. Also included are original postcards to and from his wife (whom he married on Dec 1st 1914, before being called up), including a lengthy written silk postcard from Alexander, and a charming sweetheart postcard from Minnie 'This picture rather nice on the front just like you and me. I hope and trust we'll be like that soon ', as well as other related postcards (some post-war cards to Minnie from other relatives). Includes several photographs of Alexander & Minnie in later years, as well as one of his original Royal Warwickshire Regiment shoulder badges. Poignant collection.
