The gently tapering bottle standing on an oval footrim, rising to a cylindrical neck, carved through a layer of pink overlay against an opaque white ground, one side depicting graceful orchids growing behind perforated rocks above a carved inscription reading Xin [Yi]guang zuo (made by Xin [Yi]guang), the reverse decorated with a cockerel and small chicks near a blossoming chrysanthemum behind a rock, all amongst butterflies in flight.
