1963 MASERATI TIPO AM 101 SEBRING Châssis n° AM 101 01727 La Maserati 3500 GT, apparue en 1957 sous la signature de l'ingénieur Alfieri, sauva la marque alors majoritairement engagée dans la production de types de compétition peu rentables. La nouvelle GT, équipée d'un six-cylindres en ligne bien au point et carrossée le plus souvent par Touring, séduisit une clientèle en expansion dans une Italie en plein boom économique. En mars 1962, exploitant le succès de la 3500 GTI (l'injection avait été introduite en 1961), Alfieri en présenta une version remaniée, inspirée par les lignes de la Spyder de Vignale et appelée Sebring en mémoire d'une victoire obtenue sur ce circuit américain par une 450 S. Dessinée par Michelotti, il s'agissait conformément à la tendance de l'époque d'une 2+2, tandis que la stricte deux-places de la marque devait prendre le nom de Mistral. La Sebring pesant 1300 kg était donnée pour 235 km/h. Cette voiture a été restaurée et reconstruite mécaniquement il y a environ 15 ans (dossier photos de la restauration disponible). Le moteur lui-même a été refait il y a deux ans. Son système d'injection Lucas d'origine, réputé peu fiable, a été remplacé par des carburateurs. De couleur bleu nuit avec intérieur en cuir beige (appuie-tête côté passager), elle vient avec son titre de circulation hollandais (CE) ainsi qu'un dossier de photos. In midnight blue with beige leather interior (head rest on the passenger side), it comes with its Dutch (EC) vehicle registration document and a file of photographs.
