1983 ROLLS ROYCE SILVER SPUR Châssis n° DCX 06651 Apparue en 1965 et fruit de longues études imposées par la modernisation nécessaire de " The Best Car in the World ", la Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow eut une longue descendance. En 1976, la Silver Shadow II en fut une version perfectionnée qui conservait l'excellent V8 en alliage léger porté à près de 7 litres et le comportement dynamique et les performances de cette voiture au confort légendaire bénéficiaient notamment d'une révision de la direction et des suspensions. En 1980, la Silver Spirit offrit une nouvelle caisse plus basse et plus large et un habitacle plus clair et plus vaste. Présentée en même temps, la Silver Spur en était une version allongée de 11 cm (à 5,37 m) au grand bénéfice du confort des passagers arrière. La voiture présentée, une Silver Spur livrée neuve par British Motors à Monaco à la société Christian Dior à Monte Carlo, a donc commencé sa carrière comme voiture de prestige de la célèbre maison de couture. Cédée par la suite à une résidente de la Principauté, elle fut achetée par l'actuel propriétaire au décès de celle-ci. Il s'agit donc d'une troisième main. On note qu'elle a bénéficié d'une révision récente avec changement des plaquettes de frein (factures). Elle est peinte en noir avec filets blancs, toit vinyle noir, intérieur en cuir rouge (code Red VM 3086) et moquette rouge. La sellerie présente une belle patine. La voiture, examinée par l'expert Alexis Delicourt, est accompagnée de sa carte grise française normale et d'une pochette contenant le manuel de l'utilisateur et le carnet d'entretien (Sale and Service Handbook). Released in 1965 and the result of long studies which were needed in order carry out the necessary modernisation of the "Best Car in the World", the Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow had many descendants. In 1976, the Silver Shadow II was a refined version of this, which retained the excellent light alloy V8 engine brought up to almost 7 litre capacity and the dynamic handling and performance of this legendarily comfortable car, in particular with improvements to its steering and suspension. In 1980, the Silver Spirit offered a new lower and wider body and a much larger passenger compartment with more light. Presented at the same time, the Silver Spur was an 11 cm longer version of the Silver Spirit (making it 5.37m), greatly benefitting the comfort of backseat passengers. The car presented here, a Silver Spur, was delivered new by British Motors in Monaco to the company Christian Dior in Monte Carlo, and therefore it started its career as a luxury car for the famous fashion house. Subsequently transferred to a resident of the Principality, upon their death it was bought by the current owner. It is therefore a third-hand car. It should be noted that it has been serviced recently, with the brake pads being changed (invoices provided). It is painted black with white stripes, a black vinyl roof, red leather interior (code: Red VM 3086) and red carpet. The leather upholstery has a lovely finish. The car, which has been examined by the expert Alexis Delicourt, comes with its normal French carte grise (car registration document) and a folder containing the user manual and the maintenance log (Sale and Service handbook).
