Rare à la vente 48 000 km d’origine Seulement 1055 exemplaires construits en 1965 Châssis N° : 2117675 Carte grise française de collection S’il y a bien un modèle de Panhard qui vient à l’esprit lorsque le nom est évoqué, c’est la PL17. Son moteur pétaradant mais sobre, ses six places, sa tenue de route étonnante ont laissé bien des souvenirs à des générations d’automobilistes. En 1948 la doyenne des marques automobile commercialise sa petite Dyna X au style délicieusement baroque. Lui succède la Dyna Z en 1954, appelée au début Dyna 54, elle est fabriquée en grande partie en alliage léger. Financièrement Panhard est au bord du gouffre à cause de cout de production trop élevé et est contraint de revenir à l’acier rapidement alors que Citroën entre dans le capital. Fin 1955 le moteur « Tigre » est créé, dérivé de la compétition, il permet de palier l’accroissement du poids de la caisse. La PL 17 sera construite jusqu’en 1965 et connaîtra diverses évolutions et déclinaisons, en allant de l’élégant cabriolet au break 6 places. C’est la version qui nous intéresse ici dans ces pages. Mis en circulation le 14 mars 1965 ce break porte une élégante robe verte appelée Vert Congo. L’intérieur est en skaï marron conforme à sa sortie d’usine. La PL 17 se présente dans une finition appelée confort S, équipée donc d’une banquette à l’avant comme à l’arrière qui permet d’emmener 6 personnes en voyage. Le propriétaire actuel Monsieur R. s’en porte acquéreur en novembre 2016 alors que la voiture affiche un kilométrage d’origine d’environ 47 000 km. La voiture avait été entre les mains d’un amateur de Panhard qui avait fait refaire la peinture quelques années avant. Le moteur et l’intégralité de la mécanique, y compris les trains roulants ont été révisés en 2017 (factures de 2500 € environ). Aujourd’hui proposée à la vente dans un état de fraicheur étonnant, cette PL 17 est définitivement un break au style décalé. Le contrôle technique de moins de 6 mois est valide et la voiture prête à partir pour toutes les destinations pourvu que ce soit en famille ou entre amis !
