Description Although the much-loved Ferrari Dino 246 GT was replaced in 1973 by the all new Dino 308 GT4 – Ferrari’s first ever V8 engined production model – its Bertone styling and 2+2 seating received mixed reactions. It was not until 1975, when the 308 GTB was launched at the Paris Show, that aficionados of the marque felt the 246’s true successor had arrived. The 308 GTB/GTS became the company’s most successful model to date, selling more than 12,000 examples over a 10 year production span. As the volume leader for so many years, the 308 was often toward the bottom of the collectability scale and many suffered from poor maintenance. Properly maintained 308s are now highly sought-after and the model is enjoying a well-deserved and dramatic rise in collectability. Having clearly been very well maintained over the years, this rare Nero over Burgundy styled 308 is in excellent condition in all respects. Imported to this country by its owner in 2015, the car immediately received a full service at Ferrari in London at a total cost of £2,582 before it was purchased by the current owner who drove it all the way from London to Frankfurt the next day. A true testament to the mechanical condition of the car. With a mere 34,050 miles recorded on the odometer and still in perfect condition, this desirable early carburettor example is a suitable car for any prestigious car collection or even as a long-distance tourer. Believed to be a two owner car, and finished in a rarely seen colour combination, this special 308 GTS is one to stand out in any collection. Supplied with original books, numerous service bills, German Historic Registration and a fresh 2 year TUV. : Enquire Your name Email Telephone Message Type your message Join the COYS Connoisseur Club and receive monthly COYS newsletters, regular updates & exclusive member benefits.
