Beschreibung:

The Jaguar XJ-S is a luxury grand tourer produced from 1975 to 1996 and replaced the E-Type. Although it never had quite the same sporting image, the XJ-S was a competent replacement with better aerodynamics than the E-Type. The last XJ-S was produced on 4th April 1996, by which time 115,413 had been produced during a 21-year production life and its specifications compared well against Italian cars with acceleration of 0-60mph in 7.6 seconds and a top speed of 143mph. The first series of XJ-S cars had a Borg-Warner Model 12 transmission; however, in 1979, GM Turbo-Hydromatic 400 transmissions were fitted. In 1983, a new 3.6 litre AJ6 straight-six engine was introduced, a hugely flexible unit and an extremely popular option. This beautifully kept 3.6 litre XJ-S has just two previous owners who have accredited just 75,000 miles to this handsome coupé. Having had a full Jaguar dealer history until 2005/65,000 miles, it has been since cared for by a specialist, testimony to the care and attention spent on this motor car. Presented in red with beige leather trim and wood dash this imposing yet classic appreciating classic is offered with V5, MoT test certificate until February 2015, Valid road fund licence, stamped service book with recent bills and old MoT test certificates. In lovely original and well cared for condition, this example is a credit to former owners and at no reserve, represents fantastic value. Estimate: £3,000 - £5,000
