Based around a two-door monocoque bodyshell, its sophisticated, all-round independent suspension (double-wishbone front/five-link rear) was augmented by a host of active and passive safety features including electronic stability control, ventilated ABS disc brakes, adaptive-damping shock absorbers, front airbags and an integral rollover bar that deployed in less than a third of a second if the car ever sensed an impending flip. Suitably cosseting, the convertible's impeccably built cabin consisted of a fully automated power hood and featured such advancements as memory seats, electric windows/mirrors and an adjustable steering column. Yet lurking beneath all the luxury and refinement was a performance orientated sports car. We are delighted to offer this low mileage Mercedes-Benz SL320 in outstanding condition, finished in brilliant silver with a contrasting black leather interior. With only two previous registered keepers, the current vendor has owned this roadster since March 2014. In 2015, he had some corrosion issues taken care of, these were completed to a high standard by IN Autos Restorations Ltd in Surrey with an invoice price of £3,497. At the same time he had the underside cleaned and re-protected. Mechanically this car has been well cared for and the vendor has spent in total £11,125.72 throughout his tenure ensuring the car presents in as good a condition as possible. Supplied with a V5C registration document, a current MoT test certificate valid until 21st February 2022 and a good history folder. Representing superb value for money, this highly usable modern day sports car is already regarded as a design classic and rarely found in such exceptional condition.
