A collection of six original drawings for the Cuala Press, plus related material Anne Price (fl.1947-1965)
Signature: each signed in monogram Medium: pen and ink drawings mounted on board, unframed Dimensions: 17 by 10cm., 6.5 by 4in. Various dimensions, from 2.75 by 4.25 to 10.5 by 4.5 inches. Subjects are: Good Humour and Good Nature (see illustration); St. Columba; Ardmore, Co. Waterford; and three illustrations for the Cuala Pr... ress book, Letters of Mrs Delany 1700-1788, featuring eighteenth century women: A Fairy Spot of Ground (two women looking out over Dublin Bay), A Moderate Share of Health and Wealth (a woman at her writing desk), and By Coach to Still Organ ... In Obelisk Park. One of these last three was possibly exhibited at the Dublin Sketching Club in 1947. Accompanied by a letter from the artist, Taney House, Newtown Park, Blackrock, Co. Dublin, dated 31 January 1950, to “Mrs Yeats” [Anne Yeats (1919-2001)], concerning the drawings and future projects.
