With browned twist octagonal sighted barrels (minor surface patination, one fore-sight missing) signed in full along the top flat, case-hardened recessed breeches each with platinum lines, engraved with a scallop shell on top, and with pierced platinum plug, foliate engraved case-hardened tangs each decorated with a scallop shell, signed border engraved case-hardened flat detented locks decorated with scrolling foliage, the internal working parts retaining their original burnished finish, dolphin hammers decorated en suite with the locks, engraved safety-catches, varnished highly figured full stocks with chequered rounded butts, the latter each with cast and chased silver lion mask butt-cap, iron mounts comprising case-hardened trigger-plates each with pineapple finial engraved with a scallop shell, blued spur trigger-guards (some loss of finish) engraved with scrolling foliage on the bow, blued rear ramrod-pipes, vacant silver escutcheons and barrel-bolt escutcheons, blued set triggers, stirrup ramrods, and in fine condition retaining nearly all their original finish: in original brass-mounted fitted mahogany case lined in purple velvet with full accessories including brass-mounted Sykes powder-flask (cut-off spring incomplete) retaining most of its lacquered finish, combined ramrod, cleaning rod and mallet, turnscrew and nipple-key, bullet mould and cylindrical oil bottle, the interior of the lid with maker's trade label, the exterior with vacant brass escutcheon with clipped-in corners, London proof marks 21.5 cm. barrels
