A fine early 20th century live steam stationary steam set with brass labels inscribed T R Barker Alpha Bristol and Babcock and Wilcox Boilermakers -- 22 x 21in (56 x 53.5cm) With lagged riveted and braized superheated Babcock type copper boiler with fittings including water and pressure gauges, weight and lever safety valves and steam line to single cylinder horizontal mill engine with brass bound wood lagged cylinder horizontal mill engine with brass bound wood lagged cylinder 1¼in bore x 1in stroke, displacement and cylinders lubricators, studded stuffing boxes, slipper type crosshead guide, counterbalanced crankshaft running in three pedestal mounted main bearings and spoked flywheel. Additional equipment includes boiler mounted water tank, hand feed laddered boiler walkway with hand rails and firing iron's and polished brightwork the engine mounted on simulated brick plinth with drawer wood base.
