A FINE MUGHAL QUR'AN IN THREE VOLUMES SIGNED BANDAH 'ALI NABIRAH HAZRAT 'ABD Al-BAQI, MUGHAL INDIA, 18TH CENTURY Arabic manuscript on paper, each folio with 7ll. of elegant strong black naskh script, each line in clouds on gold ground and within double black-outlined gold rules, with Persian interlinear translation in red nasta'liq script, with gold roundel verse markers, sura headings in red thuluth script, text within gold, black and blue rules, the margins with a frame of gold arabesques, numerous folios with fine gold floral illuminated margins, some illuminated marginal markers, the opening bifolio of vol.I with finely illuminated margins (in fragile condition), the other two folios with opening headpiece, colophon signed, with catchwords, skillful repairs throughout, vol.III with loose folios at end and loose back cover, remains of original bookbinding stuck to one fly-leaf, each volume in fine 19th or early 20th century gilt red morocco binding with flap Text panel 5 ¾ x 3 1/8in. (14.5 x 8cm.); folio 8 ¼ x 5 ¼in. (21.1 x 13.5cm.)
