A French silver mounted glass claret jug by Edmond Tetard, import marked for Edinburgh 1897, with a bud and flower finial, a leafy moulded handle, the collar with a vacant shield, foliage and ribbons, the glass body etched with musical trophies, flower and foliate swags above oval facet cut base band, the silver foot with a beaded and an acanthus band, 28cm (11in) high Tetard traded from 4 rue Beranger, Paris from 1880 to 1903 and was succeeded by Tetard Freres.
