A GEORGE JONES MAJOLICA DARK-BLUE-GROUND DRUM CABARET, the globular forms bound with moulded brown buckled straps and with yellow robe secured with white staples, the interiors glazed in turquoise, comprising a teapot and cover with entwined double-strap handle, the finial formed as a drummer-boy's cap and the double spout as two drum-sticks (spout restuck at base, chips to finial, tip of spout and to flange), a milk-jug (broken and repaired), a sugar-bowl and cover, two cups and saucers (cracks to rims), and a circular tray with drum-stick handles and a green and ochre tortoiseshell glaze on the upper surface (drum-sticks damaged, glaze crack), impressed GJ monogram, pattern numbers 3562/30 and 3521/30, registration marks for 1877 (indistinct) tray 15½in. (39.5cm.) wide
