Comprising: 1) An American militia officer's sword belt, circa 1825, the cast, gilt brass two-piece buckle with round tongue embossed with a Federal eagle, the ring with laurel wreath, the attachment loops plain. black leather sword belt. Sword straps retain the brass swivels. 2) An American officer's dress sword belt, first quarter 19th century, the 2 3/4" square die-struck brass buckle finely molded with eagle and stand of arms motif. Reverse with tongue and belt loop with two keepers and mounted on original green morocco leather sword belt, the exterior sides with gilt borders centering oak leaf and acorn meander. One sword strap retaining the gilt brass swivel. 3) A New York militia officer's sword belt, second quarter 19th century, the 3 1/8 inch rectangular die-struck brass plate with a rendering of the seal of the State of New York, the eagle shown with wings down and the whole enclosed by a laurel wreath. Reverse with applied tongue and belt loop with two keepers and mounted on original red morocco leather waistbelt, the reverse folded over a woven liner. Saber straps have been removed. Condition: 1) Fine. Buckle retains much gilt finish and showing some wear to detail. Leather with light surface scuffing, one sword strap showing more wear. 2) Buckle with dark patina. Belt with surface scuffing and crazing, the sword straps with considerable wear, some small tears and missing the keepers. 3) Buckle with dark patina. Belt showing scuffing with one tear to back but very sound.
