A Meissen beaker and stand, Circa 1725-28 the beaker affixed with a single richly gilt double scroll handle, each piece painted, in the manner of J. G. Höroldt, with seated figures and their attendants at various pursuits, within Böttger lustre, iron-red, puce and gilt foliate scrollwork-edged shaped quatrefoil cartouches, the rims of both with gilt lacework borders, the cup painted in iron-red on either side of the handle with a trailing spray of indianische Blumen and the underside of the saucer enamelled with three concentric circles, crossed swords marks in blue enamel, the beaker with Dreher's mark of two dots for Johann Martin Kittel Junior, the inner footrim of the saucer with an incised line.The stand diameter: 5½ in.14 cmCondition reportOverall in good appearance, The stand with some minor patches of rubbing to cartouche frame.
