A porcelain platter from the Yacht Service, Imperial Porcelain Manufactory, period of Catherine II (1784-1787) oval, the cavetto painted with six laurel swags and centered with a stylised gilt and blue cartouche depicting a black Imperial eagle with a wreath of victory in one claw and a flag depicting crossed anchors in the other, the border with stylised scrolling foliage and medallions, scalloped gilt and purple rim, with blue Imperial cipher for Catherine II and incised half circle crossed with a line length: 35.8cm, 14 1/8 in.
