A RARE FINELY CARVED MARBLE-TOP HARDWOOD TABLE 18TH 19TH CENTURY Carved with a straight back edge, the rounded, demi-lune-shaped side with a lobed, beaded outline encasing the marble top, above an intricate apron finely carved and pierced to the centre with a medallion enclosing Liuhai and the three legged toad and two boys amidst ruyi clouds, surrounded by meandering peony scrolls, the sides with grapevines and further peony blooms, each leg boldly carved with a peony spray at the top and ending on an acanthus leaf-wrapped ball foot below a stretcher carved with two confronted sinuous dragons 52¾ in. x 30 in. (134 cm. x 76 cm.)
