A SUPERB AND EXTREMELY RARE FAMILLE ROSE HEPTAGONAL JARDINIERE YONGZHENG INCISED SIX-CHARACTER SEAL MARK AND OF THE PERIOD (1723-1735) Strongly potted with seven steep sides over which are painted four floral vignettes in brilliant enamels: the first depicting a finely shaded pink balsam with yellow dotted stamens and clusters of fresh green and iron-red browning leaves, together with a spray of pink chrysanthemum, over two panels; the second set of panels rendered naturalistically with a branch bearing a peony in full bloom, a yellow bud and leaves in two tones of green, and a spray of small white blossoms; the third set with pink begonias, their large vine-like leaves drying around the edges, and intertwined with millet; and the last panel with a single poppy spray, all raised on an integral faux-bois stand with beaded apron and seven cabriole feet 7 3/4 in.
