A VIENNA-STYLE DISH painted with a scene of a young man enthroned, taking the hand of a kneeling woman, entitled Justinius , within a claret border reserved with broad pale-blue fan-shaped cartouches enriched with gilt foliage, the border further reserved with pink and gilt diamonds enclosing black flower-heads, 9½in. (24cm.) diam.; and another dish painted with a young man and a woman attended by an old man in an interior, entitled Kleopatra within a similar border reserved with animals in landscape within arched pale-blue cartouches divided by orange and gilt medallions enclosing vases (crack to border), both with blue beehive mark, black script, circa 1880, 9¼in. (23.5cm.) diam. (2)
