Author: Place: Philadelphia Publisher: Printed by Francis Child Date: 1795 Description: 260, iv, [20] pp. (8vo) 21x13 cm (8¼x5¼"), polished contemporary sheep, tooled in gilt. Issue of the first and second sessions of the Third American Congress. Among the most important acts for this Congress were the banning of slavery from the United States to any external ports of call, the establishment of an United States Navy, and a significant number of treatise with several Native American tribes. Lot Amendments Condition: Black morocco spine label perished, boards rubbed and stained, spine with vertical crack; joints splitting and very tender; library markings, previous owner's name effaced from contemporary marbled endpapers, some ink and pencil annotations and commentaries; overall good.
