Seated Medicine Crow, White-Hair-on-Temple, Bird-on-the-Ground. Reproduced as full page (193) of Freeman Tilden's book "Following the Frontier with F. Jay Haynes." Untitled, Burchard notes "A Group of Sioux Hostiles, taken at Ft. Yates after the surrender. Seated at left is Gall, one of the ablest Chiefs in the Battle of Little Big Horn. Tilden p. 206. #842 "Plain Cree and Family--Ou'Appelle." showing group seated before Teepee. & #895 "Crow Indian Burial Ground." Burchard notes "Taken near a military post." Tilden p. 190.First on lt green cabinet mt., next 2 on reg. buff mts. & fourth on buff cabinet mount. Provenance: The Ed Burchard Stereoview Collection Condition: Overall bright and clear.
