AN ENGLISH SHOT-PROOF BREAST-PLATE with medial ridge drawn down to a blunt point at the bottom, armholes and flanged neck with narrow turns, flanged lower edge, and central hole at the top for the attachment of a plackart, circa 1640-50; an English bridle-gauntlet with long cuff made in two parts riveted together, flanged at the rear and with separate laminated plate over the base of the hand and thumb, the main edges turned, and six laminations over the back of the hand (fingers missing, some cracks and rust holes throughout), circa 1640-50; a breast-plate from an almain-rivet, of rounded form with slight medial ridge, prominent turned flange at the neck, and moveable gussets at the armholes (left one missing), the edges bordered by later lining holes and patches at the neck, early 16th Century; and another piece The first 16½in. high (4)
