AN UNDERGLAZE BLUE AND COPPER-RED 'IMMORTALS' BOWL QIANLONG UNDERGLAZE BLUE SIX-CHARACTER SEAL MARK AND OF THE PERIOD (1736-1795) The bowl has gently rounded sides rising from a short, slightly tapered foot. The interior is painted in underglaze blue with Shoulao standing beside a spotted deer against a background of underglaze copper-red waves. The exterior is decorated with the Eight Daoist Immortals in underglaze blue reserved on a ground of similar copper-red waves. 8¾ in. (22.2 cm.) diam.
